PigeonBot was a nifty little service that sent emails from Slack using the /email command. The goal was to help teams focus by sending less urgent messages via email instead of derailing a teammate’s focus with a DM.
The recipient would see an email like this:
I built this with node.js as a labs project while working on Postmark. It was later acquired by ActiveCampaign along with Postmark and was shut down in 2023 🪦
